Last Epoch Season 2 is finally out after being delayed to avoid Path of Exile 2 and it is player count on Steam has jumped up quickly.

It is been a big month for Path of Exile 2 as its Dawn of the Hunt update has arrived and many players have returned to the Early Access ARPG. One of its main rivals, Last Epoch had already anticipated this and delayed its Season 2 update to avoid this. It seems that this forward thinking and the exciting content of Season 2 have worked in perfect harmony as its player base on Steam has seen a massive surge. In fact, more people are playing it right now than Path of Exile 2.

Last Epoch Season 2, titled Tomes of the Erasable, is a big moment for Eleventh Hour's action RPG. A new IP that's still in its infancy compared to giants like Diablo and Path of Exile has proven it can compete with both and Season 2 might be its best update yet. It brings new content based on The Woven more endgame encounters and maps, improvements to already exceptional crafting and loot customization tools. rework for the Sentinel class and much more.

While the news of its short delay was a little disappointing for players looking to play it again at the time it was absolutely the right decision. Eleventh Hour was very transparent and upfront about the move: We found out that our ARPG friends have picked a release date a few days after ours which will split players and make it harder for our Season 2 launch to succeed.

There's still a lot of interest in Path of Exile 2 even after a big update a few weeks ago. Just check out Last Epoch's stats on April 17.

According to SteamDB its player count has grown from a few thousand to over 150,000. At the time of writing, there are currently more people playing Last Epoch on Valve's platform than PUBG, Rust Rainbow Six Siege and (drumroll, please) Path of Exile 2 combined.

There was so much demand to play that Eleventh Hour had to update players on the status of the Last Epoch servers. Players were having trouble logging in but everything is working more smoothly now.

I am excited for Last Epoch to have so many people back into the game. The quality of the update and the wise decision to delay it deserves to be rewarded with the influx we're seeing at the moment.

If you are a fan of Blizzard's ARPG series, this is one of the best games like Diablo and you should definitely give it a try. If you and your friends want a fun and challenging game to play together this is a great choice.
