Joining the Fighters Guild in Oblivion Remastered

You can join the Fighters Guild in Oblivion Remastered in a few ways. If you focus on the main quest early you will easily find one.

If you are new you can find Fighters Guild branches throughout Cyrodiil giving you another way to join.

If you are on the main quest to deliver Uriel Septim’s amulet Chorrol is your first opportunity to join the group. It is near Weynon Priory where the Emperor’s guard sent you after the old man's death.

If you start your Fighters Guild journey in Chorrol you'll need to travel far to accept your first contract. However just becoming a member gives you access to all the loot in a Fighters Guild hall. which can help you save or earn some money.

If you are not heading to Chorrol soon you can join the Fighters Guild in Anvil on the Gold Coast in southwest Cyrodiil or in Cheydinhal in the northeast Nibenay Basin.

Where to Find the Fighters Guild in Chorrol

Chorrol is located in the northwestern corner of Cyrodiil along the Black Road. It is probably the easiest place to join the Fighters Guild early in the game.

When you arrive in the city look for Vilena Donton. She’s usually in her office on the second floor of the Fighters Guild. If it’s after work hours check around town near her house on Great Oak Place.

Talk to Vilena to join the Fighters Guild. She will then ask you to go to the Anvil or Cheydinhal branches to take your first contract. After completing the contracts in those cities return to her for the third one.

Fighters Guild Location in Anvil: Where to Find It

The Anvil Fighter’s Guild is located near the center of town close to Heinrich’s house and the Mages Guild.

Inside look for Azzan the Redguard Knight wearing silver heavy armor. He is often around from sunrise walking through the guild halls until evening. Then he practices on the training dummies before going to the dining hall.

Talk to Azzan to join the Fighters Guild and start the quest A Rat Problem. You will need to handle a rat problem in the basement of Arvena Thelas house.

Azzan is the Blunt Weapon trainer. If you like using a mace axe club hammer or even a bow to fight he is the one to go to.

Fighters Guild Location in Cheydinhal: Find It Here

The Cheydinhal Fighters Guild located in the western part of the city near the Mages Guide is run by Burz gro-Khash an Orc Barbarian.

If you are there at sunrise on a dry day you might catch Burz gro-Khash before he goes to the mound between the town's two bridges. He returns a few hours before noon to start his duty of watching over the Fighters Guild halls.

Talk to Burz gro-Khash to join the Fighters Guild and start his quests. The first quest The Desolate Mine requires you to deliver a weapons shipment to a specific location.

Why Can’t I Join the Fighters Guild? Common Issues

If you choose to steal a guard's horse (or do something worse) right at the start it will be hard to join the Fighters Guild.

They won’t let anyone with a bounty on their head join and they avoid people with a bad reputation. However if you have a lot of fame they will listen to you.

How to Rejoin the Fighters Guild

If you commit a crime against a guild member or your horse you will be kicked out of the Fighters Guild.

To rejoin you need to give 20 Bear Pelts to Vilena Donton the guild leader in Chorrol. It doesn't matter who you talked to when you first joined only Vilena can forgive your sins

After the second incident you will need to bring her 20 Minotaur Horns instead. This task is much harder.

If you make one more mistake you will be kicked out for good. The Fighters Guild has a three-strike rule. To avoid this become the Master of the Fighters Guild first since you can not kick yourself out.
