The fourth and final catalyst for the Barrow-Dyad is now available in Destiny 2. Target Lock is the final perk available on this weapon, synergizing perfectly with one of the gun's Exotic perk options. And if you want a strong single-target primary, then this is the catalyst for you.

But just like the weapon's previous catalysts, this one won't be easy to get your hands on. You'll need to scour The Nether for some tricky secrets before you can even craft Target Lock. So today, we'll show you where to find these secrets and give you a brief overview of how to start the Target Lock catalyst quest for the Barrow-Dyad.
Catalyst Prerequisites
And before you can start the Target Lock Catalyst quest, you'll first need to obtain these three Coalescence of the Knife consumables. The item doesn't show up in your inventory, so figuring out which ones you have can prove tricky. And these three drop sources are:
- The Mission Dossier: Blade Logic quest.
- The Hull - Hidden Cabal Chest.
- The Founts - Hidden Rune Chest.
Mission Dossier: Blade Logic This is a side quest that you'll unlock during the seasonal story. Just head to the Shaping Slab to start the quest, then complete the main objective. Turning in the quest should give you a Coalescence of the Knife.
The Hull has a hidden Cabal chest that provides the Coalescence of the Knife. And make your way to the Scarlet Keep-looking Hive Pillar and head towards the nearby Cabal flag. You should then be able to scan a Toland Or. If it's not there, you'll need to claim the Founts Rune Chest or get another of the Barrow-Dyad's catalysts beforehand. So scan the orb, and run down one floor to the hidden Cabal bunker, then use the newly scanned code to get inside and open its chest.
There's a hidden chest in the Founts area that will only appear if you shoot a series of nearby Hive Runes. From the shifting pistons near the middle of the room, look to the left of the arena for the Rune Code. You'll need to find three symbols displayed on the wall and shoot them. In the room right behind the symbols, you'll find a wall of Hive Runes that you can shoot. Recreate the pattern you've already seen.
Once you've completed that puzzle and grabbed the chest, turn around and shoot the Hive Rune at the pillar. This will open up a secret maze with a small Taken Blight inside. So break it out and get your Coalescence of the Knife.
How to Unlock the Target Lock Catalyst
Now that you've done your part, you can now get the Catalyst quest. From the Hull spawn point, head to the opposite end of the area. You'll find a side room with a deactivated Hive machine inside, similar to the one you activated in the Mausoleum and Trenchway. Since you have those three Coalescence of Knives, you should be able to open the portal. Open the chest on the other side to start the quest.
All you need to do is complete the Derealize Exotic mission with the Barrow-Dyad equipped. So normal difficulty matters, and you only need to have the Barrow-Dyad equipped at the end of the mission to get credit. Complete the mission, and you'll now be able to forge the target lock on the Barrow-Dyad as well.
